Humane Capture and Removal of Nuisance Wildlife
The Critter Guy offers capture and removal of wild animals from your property. In most cases, this is done with live cage traps in the most humane and efficient manner possible. Many animals can be "excluded" (kicked out) from your home instead of being trapped and removed. This is usually done by temporarily installing special equipment that lets the animals leave but doesn't let them come back in. We have a dedicated page with more information about The Critter Guy's nuisance wildlife exclusion services.
The Critter Guy will gladly take eligible critters to a licensed wildlife rehabilitator for an additional fee. Not all animals are eligible for rehabilitation or relocation under Virginia law. Please feel free to ask the Critter Guy about specific wildlife species ineligible for relocation. If we catch an animal we weren't trying to catch, which we typically call "non-targets" for short, they will be released unharmed or they can be removed at the discretion of the customer.
